Before You Move!

So you have decided to move!  Here is some homework for you to do before you sign on the dotted line. 

1.  Call the clerk of the town you have decided to move to and ask for a copy of all animal regulations. Check to see if there is a homeowners association, or a governing association if you are moving into a condo or apartment.  Ask the following questions and be sure they are answered in writing:

         a.  Is there breed specific legislation?

         b.  Are there pet limits?

         c.  Are there kenneling laws?

         d.  Is there a leash law?

         e.  Is there a noise ordinance? and if so, get the details

2.  Check with the insurance company you intend to use as to whether they discriminate by breed.
