Created on Wednesday, June 13 2012

A new dog tethering law is in effect in Cary. The town now prohibits residents from keeping their dogs on any type of chain or rope unless supervised.

Owners who keep their dogs outside are also required to use a fence or a kennel based on the dog's weight.

The town council adopted the law in March.
