Legislation - Oregon

There are no cities in Oregon that ban pit bulls, but a lawmaker in the small town of North Plains wants to change that. Councilwoman-elect Ann Ogan was calling for a ban on pit bulls. She told Newschannel 8, a ban would be the first action she'd take once in office. "I don't understand why it hasn't been done already. Why Portland doesn't do it, or Vancouver, Washington? Why do we allow this continue in this country?" said Ogan. Ogan wanted all pit bulls and pit bull mixes gone for good in North Plains.... Ogan hopes an ordinance will pass after she gets sworn in next month and proposes the pit bull ban.
